Registered Behavior Therapist

Behavioral Therapists will assist Behavior Analysts in implementing and monitoring treatment plans that teach clients coping skills. The role involves helping clients with day-to-day activities and recording their progress for analysis.

Being an ABA therapist is a very demanding job that requires a lot of effort and perseverance. You will be expected to manage challenging behaviors of individuals who also suffer from sensory issues and have difficulties communicating and responding appropriately to others.

Qualifications

•Ability to work under close supervision with distractions/demanding patients and follow verbal and written instructions

•Ability to communicate effectively

•Good physical and mental health as evidenced by warm empathic attitude

•Respect for the dignity, worth, and potentiality of each person and a high sense of personal integrity

•Must be able to stand on feet for long intervals and ability to life a patient in order to provide care according to the essential job function

•Must have High School Diploma/G.E.D

•Must have CPR certification

•Maintain Saftey Care certification

Responsibilities

•Demonstrates teamwork by carrying out routine and assigned task with the outpatient programs

•Documents client's observed behavior, significant occurrences, and observation findings as requested by supervisor

•Assist with client care tasks and therapeutic interventions

•Flexible with work schedule when necessary to provide coverage

•Provide care and assist patients in daily living activities including but not limited to diaper change, cleaning, bathing and feeding

•Oversees the cleanliness of the facility

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
