Job Title: Senior QA Engineer - Full Stack Technologies
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with comprehensive expertise across leading quality initiatives. This role focuses on ensuring the quality testing, automation, performance, security and seamless integration of our backend systems developed in Java and Spring Boot, along with frontend technologies comprising HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React frameworks. As a Senior/Lead QA engineer, you will spearhead the testing strategies, mentor the team, and drive quality initiatives across the full stack.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Test Planning: Lead the development of comprehensive test plans and strategies for both backend and frontend technologies in collaboration with development teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership in designing, developing, and executing sophisticated test cases, scripts, and procedures manual & automation testing for backend Java and Spring boot functionalities, as well as frontend HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React frameworks.
• API Integration Testing: Oversee and perform meticulous API testing to guarantee seamless communication and data exchange between frontend and backend systems.
• Defect Management and Reporting: Lead the identification, documentation, and reporting of software defects, anomalies, and issues, offering comprehensive insights and solutions to development teams for resolution.
• Automation Strategy: Drive the development and maintenance of robust automated test scripts and frameworks tailored for comprehensive full-stack testing, enhancing efficiency and reliability.
• Regression Testing and Impact Analysis: Develop and implement regression testing strategies to ensure new features or updates do not compromise existing functionalities across the full tech stack, conducting thorough impact analysis.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with diverse teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to resolve issues, propose enhancements, and ensure seamless integration and functionality between backend and frontend components.
• Quality Advocacy and Process Enhancement: Advocate for quality excellence throughout the development lifecycle, offering strategic insights and recommendations to enhance testing methodologies and elevate product quality.
• Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior QA engineers, facilitate knowledge sharing sessions, and contribute to team growth and skill development in testing methodologies and technologies.
• Documentation and Reporting: Oversee the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation encompassing testing procedures, test cases, and test results specific to the full-stack applications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Extensive experience in software quality assurance and testing methodologies across backend Java, Spring Boot, and frontend HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React frameworks.
• Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks suitable for full-stack testing (e.g., JUnit, Selenium, Jest, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Leadership experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication, mentorship, and team leadership abilities.
• Experience in designing and implementing automation strategies for full-stack testing.
