The Ammortal chamber brings together multiple scientifically backed technologies to one experience. It is a healing technology that can be utilized by wellness clinics and inside the home. Our clients include specialty spas and clinics, sports teams, and individuals who are biohackers or athletes.
We are a small team with a startup culture. After our first full years shipping a finished product on the market, we have shown strong growth. Our team is made up of engineers, health professionals, and startup entrepreneurs.
What is this role and why does it exist?
The Ammortal Chamber delivers a unique healing experience for it’s users. For the Chamber to work properly, the relationship between the software and the hardware have to be in resonance. That is where this role comes in. The Full Stack Developer on the team will own the software of the system, creating and maintaining an amazing experience for the users of the chamber.
Responsibilities:
- The architecture of the code is organized, easy to read, and easy to evolve
- The chamber is bug free and works seamlessly
- New features are built with the whole architecture in mind, on time, and bug free
- Evaluate existing codebase and determine if code should be refactored
- Port existing code to new scalable platform
- Meet with stakeholders to discuss and agree upon upcoming feature sets, development arcs and delivery timelines.
- Ensure deployed units are backwards and forwards compatible with new code releases
- Plan and deploy updates to units in the field.
- Create and execute validation strategies for code
- Creating readable, commented, documented, and sustainable code that meets the design requirements

- Embedded software experience and/or hardware-software connection experience

- Experience working on a B2C (consumer-facing product)
- UI/UX development
Pay, Location, Hours
Pay range: $90-130k
As a generalization, if you have 1-2 years of experience, you may expect to receive an offer on the lower end of this range. If you have 4+ years of experience, you may expect to receive an offer on the higher end of this range
Benefits: 75% of health insurance covered
Location: Greater Asheville area in North Carolina (this is a hybrid position where this person will work from home often and also go into the manufacturing facility when it makes sense to work hands-on with the product)
Hours: Work hours are flexible. Besides team meetings and other commitments you will be free to work the hours you choose as long as you get your work completed!
