PodQuad is a pedelec quadricycle designed with health, safety and environment friendliness in mind. The vehicle includes fitness into one’s daily routine, in order to make sure the minimum 20 minutes of exercise happen without taking time out for it. In addition, the PodQuad provides a closed cabin with filtered air to keep pollution out of your lungs. The vehicle is safer than a two-wheeler and more efficient than a car. It is designed to tackle any weather condition, providing a comfortable ride be it rain or scorching heat. The PodQuad runs on electricity combined with muscle power, making it a zero emissions vehicle. Our goal with this product is to provide the option to millions of urban commuters to have a healthier lifestyle and prevent diseases such as type II diabetes, heart disease, stroke, obesity and respiratory illnesses. Spinal cord injuries due to bumpy roads while using 2 wheelers can also be avoided. Most 4-wheeler vehicles on the road today are 2+ ton blocks of steel ferrying just one or two passengers across cities. Since the PodQuad takes up less space on the road, it has the potential to reduce traffic congestion and be a more efficient means of transportation.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Automotive Engineer at PodQuad in Pune. The Automotive Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing automotive systems, components, and subsystems. They will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, as well as performance and efficiency goals.

This position is a Co-Founder level position of an early stage company and will include most of the compensation in the form of stock options.

Qualifications
Excellent Analytical Skills
Expertise in Communication and Automotive Engineering
Experience in designing and testing automotive systems
Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in the automotive industry
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
Experience with CAD software
