*Role Summary: *

We are actively seeking a talented and proactive Controls Engineer with 2-4 years of hands-on experience in the relevant industries, specifically material handling automation. In this role, you will play a vital part in designing and implementing various integrated solution along with Autonomous Mobile Robots.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with different stakeholders to understand and conceptualize the integrated automation solution requirements.
  • Finalize and detail out the conceptualized solution requirement along with different internal teams and external vendors/partners. Ensure that the latest and optimised technology is used for the solution requirements.
  • Visit vendor sites to validate the proposed technology, arrange demo from vendor when required.
  • Prepare and release engineering BOM for overall solution as per requirements. For internal modules, design and develop the solution, release production documents as per internal process.
  • Perform module testing and complete integrated system testing internally as well as at customer sites when required.
  • Take ownership of implementing the solution on site and perform the necessary acceptance tests
  • Prepare and maintain the complete solution technical documents for products and projects as per internal documentation standards.
  • Constantly work on prototyping and evaluating new technologies and automation modules.
  • Be flexible to provide support and share knowledge with other cross functional teams as and when required.

Educational Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics or equivalent with atleast 2+ years experience in the field of industrial automation.

Key skills candidate(s) must possess:

  • Practical experience in designing & implementing integrated solutions using conveyors, cobots, mobile robots, etc.
  • Strong knowledge on component selection such as power converters, motors, drives, sensors, PLC, etc. based on technical requirements.
  • Knowledge on various interfacing protocols such as PROFINET, PROFIBUS, EtherCAT, Modbus, OPC server, etc.
  • Must have PLC programming experience with Siemens or Allen Bradley PLCs
  • Hands on experience on load calculation and wire/cable selections.
  • Must have practical experience in preparing electrical schematic diagrams using AutoCAD.
  • Prior experience working on mobile robot integrated solutions is an added advantage.
