The Role

Meet AppSumo

AppSumo is the first place entrepreneurs start. We help small businesses become Sumo sized by promoting great software at awesome prices. We’ve helped launch thousands of top B2B tools like Mailchimp, Evernote, Intercom, and Dropbox just to name a few.

At AppSumo, we believe work doesn’t have to suck. We love helping entrepreneurs build a lifestyle they’re passionate about. And that includes you.

The foundation of our culture is treating teammates like adults. This is a place where we actually encourage you to have a side hustle and develop your career at AppSumo. You’ll learn everything about starting and growing a business here—and get paid to do it.

We’re on a mission to open the doors of entrepreneurship to everyone. You in?

Why this is your dream job

As a Senior Affiliate Manager, you’ll ensure that our 17,000+ affiliate partners have a seamless AppSumo experience. If you’re a super-organized people person with excellent communication skills, this role is for you. Tech-savvy go-getters, who can build relationships through emails and personalized check-ins, we want to talk to you!

What you’ll be doing

  • Vetting and recruiting affiliates to join our program
  • Strategizing on outbound email campaigns to nurture, grow, and re-engage accounts
  • Providing support to our affiliates through tools like Slack, Helpscout, and MixMax
  • Managing affiliate housekeeping and maintenance in our CRM
  • Project managing marketing partnerships
  • Build your team to continue growing the network

This is a unique role that requires organization, a proven track record of growing programs, and out-of-the-box thinking. That, along with a can-do attitude and a willingness to jump on projects without every step defined.

Past experience

  • 3+ years of experience working for a SaaS, e-commerce, or tech company in an affiliate marketing role
  • Experience managing and growing an 8-figure affiliate program
  • Knowledgeable in key affiliate marketing tools (Impact.com, Brand24, etc.)
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to prioritize and pay attention to details under pressure
  • Experience running email campaigns and nurturing long-term relationships

In the first three months of this role, success means owning our affiliate recruiting process, managing outreach email campaigns, and coming up with creative solutions to help grow our affiliate network.

The benefits:

  • Health insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield, plus vision, dental, life insurance, and mental health services for you and your loved ones
  • 401(k) matching
  • 100% hybrid work model—work from home or the office
  • Open vacation (PTO) policy (plan to make your Slack status a “🌴” at least one week per quarter)

Unique perks to take care of you:

  • Freedom to have a side hustle (we don’t treat that word like it’s Voldemort)
  • Free access to all the software and tools in the AppSumo marketplace
  • An invite to our annual all-expenses-paid company trip (thinkCosta Rican Resort, not teambuilding at Generic Corporate Venue #84)
  • Flexible hours that let you start late or take that midday power nap
  • Access to our dog-friendly, snack-packed office in Austin
  • Free lunch once a week, all the gear you need and work that actually makes an impact
