Amsterdam: Business Compliance Analyst

As part of a lean Business Development and Operations Team, your knowledge of the legal and compliance landscape in EMEA and The Netherlands will help unlock new business opportunities for Radix and will drive the firm’s direction for the coming years. You will be responsible for the internal and external communication to partners and vendors from Amsterdam regarding our business compliance and trading operations. You’ll work directly with a range of functions, including Execution Trading and DevOp to design, optimize and execute tools and processes. If applicable, you will provide legal and regulatory insight and analysis specific to The Netherlands.

You’ll conduct research to help discover and evaluate new business opportunities, build tools to create data-driven business decisions, and develop business-enabling compliance solutions for Radix’s horizontal and vertical expansions.

Qualifications

We’re looking for highly analytical people who want to help build the research-driven trading firm of the future. The individual wants to help manage our business and compliance operations for the existing business (research, technology, and operations) functions as well as future business expansions by improving communication, compliance monitoring, corporate structure, and other necessary elements.

And to do that, you’ll need the following qualities:

>3-5 years of experience in a trading entity regulating body or a regulated trading entity (working directly with regulators). Access to the Compliance and Regulatory community. Dutch specific experience in operational review.

>Has previous exposure to trading entities (proprietary or other) and its regulatory requirements while assessing their organizational impact, from existing to potential new business ventures.

>Ability to think outside of the box from a legal and compliance point of view: more often than not, the obvious solution is either not possible or scalable. They always want to be able to present a path forward rather than “no”, especially if there is an opportunity that can drive business forward.

>Capable of preparing and representing the firm for regular assessments and audits.

>Ability to drive tasks to completion, including drawing and working with resources from other teams, in a timely manner

>Detail-oriented and can easily identify key influencing factors; able to quickly retain historical highlights to focus on future improvements.

>Willingness to speak with external parties from regulators, prime brokers, and exchanges about a variety of topics such as business opportunities and incoming regulatory and operational changes and requirements.

>Capable of communicating with quantitative software developers, traders, and researchers.

>Ability to multitask and iterate quickly towards a better solution while not dropping the ball on other concurrent functions.

>Has an analytical ability to understand the full scope and depth of the issue in order to be able to solve for the long-term.

>Has a strong self-awareness and high emotional intelligence to assist with interpersonal and communication improvements.

>Ability to work well independently.

Positive, but not required…

>Having previous project management experience or experience managing long-term projects; you will be the glue that keeps our researchers, technologists, and stakeholders together to realize our long term goals.

>Has an understanding (or a desire to learn), at a high level, of the process of extracting and organizing data from various sources such as order traffic logs and logs from production trading models that drive order entry decisions.

>Scripting and automation experience in SQL or Bash
