The Role
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for new feature development and ongoing maintenance for Scriptly’s flagship product Scriptly Pharmacy Management and other products in the Scriptly portfolio. This position reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Other duties may include systems and program testing, upgrading internal applications, security maintenance, risk assessments, and user navigation.
Responsible for producing and implementing functional software solutions. The individual shall work with upper management to define software requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects. The selected individual should be able to work independently with little supervision and should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills. The goal will be to develop high-quality software that is aligned with user needs and business goals.
Position Responsibilities
- Must be able to combine analytical and problem-solving abilities with interpersonal communication.
- Develop high-quality software design and architecture
- Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
- Review and implement complex industry specifications
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
- Review and debug code
- Perform validation and verification testing
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products
- Document development phases and monitor systems
- Ensure software is up to date with the latest technologies
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be knowledgeable in programming methodology, computer software, data communication, and report processing
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer
- Strong knowledge of .Net Core and Web API
- Experience in Front End Frameworks (e.g., Vue.js)
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with various operating systems
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent time-management skills and should be able to analyze problems independently
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work effectively
- Commitment to company values and the ability to be a strong team player
- Familiarity with Independent Pharmacy Industry preferred
- Pass a drug test and a criminal background check prior to hire
- Pass the Medicare OIG check prior to hire
Education: Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent work experience
Experience: At least 2 years of work experience in an IT-related programming and engineering position.
