Senior Manager, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting

Come join Unity as a Senior Manager of SEC Reporting! This is a critical position supporting the business on ensuring sound financial reporting at Unity. This highly visible role will cross-functionally partner with the Controllership, Legal, Tax, Comms, and FP&A teams to enable the success of reporting to investors and stockholders.

As the Senior Manager of SEC Reporting, you will have the opportunity to work with a distributed team, drive efficiency and partnership through the business.

What you’ll be doing

• Oversee and manage the preparation of Unity’s SEC filings, including 10-Qs and 10-Ks (and associated XBRL requirements) to ensure that the financial statements adhere to GAAP and SEC regulations and requirements
• Provide support to business partners, including Legal, Communications, and Investor Relations, in the preparation of other filings, including the proxy statement, earnings release 8-Ks, and other filings
• Serve as a subject matter expert on GAAP and SEC regulations for the preparation and filing of SEC reports
• Draft and maintain SEC and external reporting calendar to inform parties of necessary deadline adherence
• Manage communications with external auditors on external financial statements and accounting issues to ensure alignment with company decisions on accounting disclosures and issues

What we’re looking for

• Progressive SEC reporting and accounting experience, preferably including mix of public accounting and in-house with SEC registered companies
• Strong SEC and U.S. GAAP technical background and ability to research complex accounting and disclosure requirements.
• Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment

Additional information

Gross base salary (USD): $121,300.00 - $164,200.00*

*Note: Certain locations require a good faith disclosure of the base salary range for the role. The actual salary for the successful candidate may differ based on location, experience, and other job-related factors.
