About the Operations Manager Role:

Rhythm is looking for innovative thinkers grounded in energy industry experience. Operations will include transactions, billing, collections, and compliance. This role will interface primarily with marketing, technology, and customer experience. The ideal candidate will want to build new operational solutions through technology and share those skills with the broader team. They will work well with limited data and be willing to pivot based on the best available data at the time. They will be comfortable digesting large data sets into actionable insights.

  • Responsibilities
    • Maintain task schedules for the Operations team
    • Manage the Operation team’s growth plans and performance
    • Act as a resource and trainer for the broader Operations team
    • Lead through example and build a strong foundation for growth
    • Perform transactional activities associated with serving electric supply customers
    • Develop reporting, processes, and systems to efficiently scale Operations
    • Research, summarize, and analyze transaction and billing data to ensure performance within SLAs
    • Manage EDI and billing operations
    • Build and refine automation of operations
    • Interface with all stakeholders to ensure system performance
    • Review enrollments and transactions
    • Watch queue creation and maintenance
    • Review billing for accuracy and timeliness
    • Coordination with customer experience to ensure high customer satisfaction
    • Build and maintain reporting for billing accuracy and revenue assurance
  • Skills
    • Independent worker who has demonstrated competency in EDI and electricity supply
    • Team player that thrives in quick-paced, ever-evolving environments
    • Ability to quickly assimilate information from multiple sources
    • Able to pivot between multiple workstreams
    • Demonstrated creative solutioning
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Requirements
    • Bachelor's in Economics, Finance, Engineering or energy-related field
    • Excellent MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) skills
    • Proficiency in SQL and VBA, preferred
    • 5+ years of analytics experience in electricity
    • Passion for sustainability, renewable energy, energy efficiency and conservation a plus
