About the Role:
OneTrack is seeking a Hardware Technician to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. The Hardware Technician will be responsible for assembling hardware enclosures for artificial intelligence powered camera sensors. This includes, but is not limited to, mechanical assembly via power and hand tools, soldering electrical wires, and 3d printer operation. The ideal candidate has prior experience with power tools and is able to follow assembly instructions and perform manufacturing duties in a safe and effective manner. You must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work on a team, and interest in manufacturing to excel in this role. You will work directly with the Field Services and Operations teams to fulfill orders and create and maintain a backlog of available inventory.
The Hardware Technician needs to be a detail oriented professional who is eager to learn and take off in a career in the logistics, warehouse, and manufacturing fields.
This is an in-office position.
Responsibilities:
- Build hardware enclosures for camera sensors
- Receive and track inventory
- Work with production and field services personnel to maintain and troubleshoot problems with electrical equipment
- Manufacture parts required for sensors including but not limited to: 3d printing, soldering, heat shrink, mechanical assembly
- Office organization tasks related to storage and handling of inventory
- Misc. tasks related to field services support
- Occasional fieldwork when applicable (i.e. sensor installation) <10%
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of electrical experience in industrial, manufacturing, or military environments
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment
- Knowledge of AC/DC principles
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices
- Experience with power and hand tools
- Ability to commute to Chicago office 5 days per week
