Data Engineering Manager

In our tech hub in Sofia, we are now looking for a Data Engineering Manager.

What you will be doing most of the time:

· Leading a top notch Data Engineering team that supplies solid data foundation and infrastructure for analytics purposes, near real time purposes and forecasting purposes· Leading other teams that deliver end user components that sits on top of the Data Engineering team delivery and experience the learning in an end-to-end way· Spreading the Data passion across the Software Engineering department of the company

What we expect from you:

· Passion about working with data and building sophisticated software solutions on top· Solid hands-on experience in building from scratch solid data infrastructure and vast experience in different technologies and tools that enables the three distinct views on it: what happened in the past, what is happening as we speak and what is going to happen in the not so distant future· Hands-on experience building data-powered solutions· Hands-on experience with development, deployment and monitoring of data and machine learning solutions in production · Very strong coding skills (clean and commented code, version control, documentation), experience with the ETL tools, automated testing and deployment. · Hands-on experience with data lakes (Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, BigQuery, and similar), feature stores (SQL-like databases) – design of new features, adding new data sources from API and other services, data pipelines design, query optimisation, distributed computing, performance optimization· Hands-on experience with DataOps and MLOps - development, testing, deployment and monitoring of data and ML solutions; Experience with Synapse KubeFlow, AirFlow or similar; Git and Docker · Hands-on experience with feature engineering using Python, PySpark, SQL and/or similar tools
