The Role

We’re looking for a creative, driven marketer ready for a challenge — and the vast opportunity it can bring. CampusESP has grown 100% year over year for the last two years, and we have no intentions of slowing down. Our next marketing hire will be pivotal in ensuring we don’t by scaling, enhancing, and pushing our content marketing efforts to connect and engage meaningfully with higher education professionals. This individual will have real impact on the direction and trajectory of the marketing engine, helping plan, create, and distribute engaging and informative pieces that ensure consistent market positioning, accelerate our growth, and facilitate adoption of our products and services by prospective and current customers.

Your daily adventures will include:

  • Developing a content strategy and editorial calendar that showcases the power of parent engagement, our solutions, and client successes, positioning us as the leader in the parent engagement in higher education
  • Identifying trends, industry issues, customer stories, and other topics where we can provide insight, advice, and thought leadership
  • Collaborating on thoughtful and engaging marketing campaigns that drive new business, add-on/expansion, and partnership opportunities
  • Building out our content asset repository, ensuring applicable and tailored positioning and stories for our target markets
  • Contributing to the writing and creation of content assets, as well as working with in-house and customer SMEs to generate content
  • Owning content distribution, including blog articles, case studies, white papers, research studies, newsletter, webinars, and subsequently expanding our those channels, securing new placements, and monitoring engagement
  • Increasing web traffic and brand recognition through content creation and marketing
  • Improving and enhancing deliverables based on data, metrics, and feedback
  • Working collaboratively across Marketing, other departments, and a very hands-on management team
  • Contributing to key marketing metrics and continually developing strategies to meet and exceed plans for company growth

Qualifications:

  • You have 3-5 years of content and/or marketing experience, ideally in B2B (higher education and/or SaaS experience a plus).
  • You understand how to tailor content for the various parts of the customer buying journey from education to close, and how to match our stories, benefits, and results to that intent.
  • You have strong writing and editing skills.
  • You are a storyteller. You understand flow, entry points, hooks, and CTAs.
  • You are comfortable collaborating and collecting stories from various subject matter experts, from our leadership team to customers to industry players.
  • You’re organized and can run projects confidently.
  • The “start-up life” is appealing to you. You’re excited by the prospect of working with a small team, getting to try your hand at new things, and seeing the real impact of your efforts.
  • You are comfortable with your work not only contributing but being held to goals and targets. Having to deliver doesn’t scare you — in fact, it drives you.
