Bivy Stick lets people communicate beyond cell range for safety and convenience. The app helps them find and track outdoor adventures like hiking, biking, paddling, skiing, and climbing.
The ideal candidate works well independently, is driven to implement a quality product, and loves the outdoors. The Bivy team is hybrid remote & will work from our office in downtown SLC.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and develop new features for Bivy App, tools, servers, and Bivy Stick. Maintain code and fix bugs. Work closely with management, marketing, and other engineers.
• Help build and maintain mobile apps, web tools, and server backends. This development work involves supporting and enhancing mobile apps and servers to support our handheld satellite communication device, Bivy Stick.

Essential skills:
Java, Objective C, C++, Server Development, Familiarity with REST interfaces, Google Cloud Platform (Datastore, Google App Engine, Compute), Comfortable working with binary data and memory layouts

Advantageous skills:
Server Development, Managing Virtual Machines, Load Balancing, Java Script, HTML
