About the role:

Swift is looking for a Data Scientist to optimize our logistics intelligence engine. Academic and/or practical background in Computer Science along with experience in the integration of model-based engineering tools is particularly relevant for this position. At Swift, you should be able to work in a fast-paced environment to lead and deliver on platform critical features that are scalable and can support large scale transactions at any time. Your primary responsibilities would include -

Working closely with business and product to execute and deliver large and complex projects end-to-end, with or without the involvement of other team members.
Use data analyses and statistical techniques to develop solutions to improve customer experience and to guide business decision making.
Working constantly with the engineering team to implement complex data models that feed seamlessly into real time decision making at a high transactional volume.
Identify predictors and causes of business-related problems and implement novel approaches related to forecasting and prediction
Collaborate with multiple teams as a leader of quantitative analysis and where you develop solutions that utilize the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity
Work as an ML-Ops lead closely with the data engineering team for taking models to production.

Must haves

At least 1+ years of experience as a data scientist with sound knowledge of Python.
Experience building models from scratch and taking them to production.
Model dev experience in SageMaker or GCP AI tools.
Ability to work with business team and take a first principled approach to problem solving. Strong knowledge Data wrangling tools like Excel, Data Studio will be relevant.
Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency and drive along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
