Junior Front-End Developer

Job Description:

Savion Ray is looking for talented young professionals, interested in a position in an international environment with a strong interest in creative and digital communications.

This is not a position where you will have ample time to observe colleagues' work before you get a project. You will be working on real client briefs from day one and you will learn by doing from a small but capable team. You will be interacting with and learning from everyone from juniors to management.

Your main tasks will be:

• Write, review, and maintain code written in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
• Convey design ideas via wireframes and prototypes;
• Produce, maintain, and modify website designs and user interfaces;
• Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and other professionals on projects;
• Online research and analysis to understand client landscapes;
• Ensuring websites are accessible across many platforms, including laptops and smartphones;
• Finding the perfect balance between best practices and creative new ideas;
• Source images and other content to create website designs.

Requirements:

• Professional or academic experience in website design or related field;
• Experience with creating and/or maintaining WordPress websites;
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript;
• Passion about user experience, interface, and interaction design;
• Creative spirit and eagerness to learn;
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills;
• English proficiency;
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field;
• Degree in Journalism, Marketing is an asset.
