For this, we are building the platform where our customers find everything for their home, in one place. We focus on facilitating the entire process of buying furniture and decoration items from origin to delivery, through technology. We want to have a profound impact on the middle class and on the main suppliers of furniture and decoration in the region.

Your Role:

As Head of Operations, you must ensure that the company's operations function properly, coordinated and efficiently. The biggest challenge for this role is to rapidly scale the operation while ensuring a high standard of service for suppliers and end customers, in a managed marketplace model. You will work alongside the company's leadership team to develop plans, deliver results, and develop the Alameda operations team.

Your days will be a mix of solving complex problems with the team and management, implementing area improvement strategies, driving improvement initiatives, preparing analyzes and projections, and building a high-level team for the area.

The responsibilities of this position include, among others:

Work together with the COO to design the area strategy
Implement processes, standards and policies for the short, medium and long term, including new processes and automations
Formulate and execute strategies to achieve results
Respond for the key metrics of the operations area, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
Lead a multidisciplinary team and support them in their day to day, ensuring their productivity and adherence to Alameda's culture
Quickly design solutions to ensure smooth operation between different areas of the company
Support the opening of new sales channels
Define, manage and extract insights from KPIs and metrics
Work with the tech team to develop and improve products and databases
Assist in the selection and implementation of software and tools to improve workflow and achieve automation
Hire and develop a high-performance team for the area that ensures the achievement of results
Prepare quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify the root of problems and find high-impact opportunities in processes, people and technology

The ideal candidate has the experience and leadership skills to communicate effectively with Alameda's internal teams and beyond. You will work hand in hand with suppliers of all sizes and must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization. This person should also have strong analytical skills and be comfortable drawing conclusions based on metrics and volumes of data.

What are we looking for?

A combination of high capacity for analysis and focus on data, excellence in structuring ambiguous situations, execution and empathy for clients, suppliers and the team.
Training in engineering, economics, or business administration. Master's degree is a plus.
Experience of 3 to 5 years in startups, consulting, investment banking or similar. Previous experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, retail, supply chain, logistics, last-mile, operations and warehouses is a plus.
High problem solving capacity (including cost/benefit analysis, root cause and process redesign).
Proven ability to overcome obstacles and achieve goals.
Capacity for analysis and modeling in Excel.
High capacity for organization and planning.
Comfort in the face of ambiguity and action-oriented.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills to generate relationships with different stakeholders, motivate and create commitment.
