Lead Frontend Developer

What you'll be working on:

• making our website scale-ready for a large amount of products
• implementing new features, like user profiles, a better checkout and order tracking experience, etc
• coding up our designs of the website (and co-designing if you want) in React with Storybook and Tailwind
• optimizing the UX and conversion rate and running A/B tests
• managing the translation process of the website

Our current website has translations in 5 languages, Cypress, Storybook, and served using Cloudflare Workers (and some AWS Lambda too). The UI is using a lot of RxJS and ResizeObservers under the hood for smooth transitions and data loading.

We’re currently migrating our website from Angular with Nx to a Next.js/React project with Turborepo. We have our migration strategy figured out, but are looking for someone to execute it.

Some concrete things you'll be working on? We want to add Tailwind for a better developer experience, and SSR to improve our web vitals. The large amount of products will require lazy loading them from our to-be-built product management system. We also want to offer our customers an improved animated preview experience. In general, you’ll be working on a lot of different but exciting things!

You have worked on something exciting which was web-based, either for a company or for yourself

We have a great office located in The Beacon, Antwerp. We like it when our team is around for at least 2-3 days a week, but we're flexible. We also offer great remote working opportunities, like the possibility to work remotely for one month a year.
