The Role

Job Summary :

As a PCB Design Engineer, you will design, modify, and evaluate Printed Circuit Board (PCB)products for use in Electric Vehicles to meet quality, delivery and cost goals using Computer AidedDesign Tools (CAD). The selected candidate will be an integral part of the entire process from theinitial idea to the finished product. This position requires a high degree of flexibility as well asanalytical and interpersonal skills. If you are interested in contributing to the success of a start-up,we want you.

Responsibilities & Duties

1.Perform as expert user of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) CAD systems with considerableexperience for complex engineering models and components and evaluate new processes,updates and tools.

2.Perform simulations, impedance calculations, gerber processing, and [ElectromagneticCompatibility] EMC analysis for complex multi-layer printed circuit boards to ensure electronicassemblies meet the requirements of harsh environments for vehicle applications.

3.Understand overseas and domestic PCB fabrication vendors to develop capability criteria,procedures and resolve production issues

4.Work in a cross functional multidisciplinary environment, providing technical support to marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management organizations during the productdevelopment cycle.

Required Skills

  1. 5 or more years' experience in PCB design including PCB fabrication and board level assemblypractices.

  2. 5 or more years' experience with PCB Computer Aided Designs (CAD).

  3. 5 or more years' experience performing complex PCB work requiring application of standardPCB techniques, procedures and criteria.

  4. Experience applying engineering principles to the design of PCBs while meeting design formanufacturability (DFM) requirements.

  5. Technical comprehension of testing, manufacturing, quality control, and cost trade-offs of PCBdesign requirements.

  6. Proficiency to effectively direct the work of aides, contractors, PCB designers and technicians.
