Kubernetes Administrator

OriginML we are working on the next generation Machine Learning and AI platform for Enterprises. We are a small and well experienced team that is looking for your skills to complement our ever growing backlog. Having settled into a nice and spacious top floor office in the Millenium Business Park in Mahape, Navi Mumbai, we are on a growth path with our SaaS/PaaS product.

Technical Skills and Abilities:

• Experience with containerization and virtualization (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Building and configuring Kubernetes-based infrastructure, Core-DNS, Kube Proxy, Ingress, etc. and leverage k8s for deploying services such as Kafka, Spark and other distributed services.
• Experienced with deploying stateful applications / Databases on Kubernetes
• Prior knowledge of resource management, Security, Storage/persistent volume, Load management.
• Experienced with monitoring frameworks for Kubernetes.
• Good to have experience in handling multiple Kubernetes clusters under a single umbrella (Kubernetes Federation).
• Good knowledge of automation and configuration management framework like Terraform, etc.
• Automating the build of containerized systems with CI/CD tooling, Helm charts, and more. Managing deployments and rollbacks of applications.
• Troubleshooting and optimising containerized workload deployments for clients.
• Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, primarily administration of Linux based distros like Debian, Ubuntu, etc.
• Should have a fair understanding of Java and Python programming languages
• Should be able to write scripts. Proficient in Linux scripting, patching and security.
• Experience in Performance Management of Servers, Storage, Databases, Applications tuning and optimization.
• Evaluate new technology options and vendor products to use in distributed system environments.

Key responsibilities include:

We are looking for engineering candidates to support our development team. The ideal candidate has the following abilities:

• Partner with product management and development team to align and prioritize current and future product development initiatives in in line with our business objectives
• Work with in a small and cross functional engineering team that covers all aspects, including QA, Platform Delivery and DevOps
• Evaluate current state solutions to identify areas with improvement potential, simplify and enhance functionality and/or transition to more effective solutions to improve supportability / time to market
• Not afraid of refactoring existing systems and guiding the team to adopt
• Experience with event driven architectures and complex event processing
• Extensive experience building and owning scalable distributed backend systems
• Must have experience of deploying and maintaining scalable distributed clusters, preferably of both custom created clusters and of cloud service
• Must have solid experience in relevancy tuning of applications and how relevancy is computed
• Experience with strategizing testing of applications and performance testing of relevancy tuning
• Experience in fully automated CI/CD pipeline deployment on K8s
