SuperMoney is looking for a content editor with an entrepreneurial mindset to help us scale our content production process.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling. He/she should be able to develop great story ideas around complex financial topics, breaking them down to easy to understand, insightful articles. He/she should also be a skilled copy editor and experienced in managing editorial calendars.
WHERE YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Manage editorial calendar and content production processes to ensure goals are met
- Provide direction and feedback to our writers
- Edit fresh copy
- Only allow the highest possible quality articles through to publication
- Raise the quality of all our older content - cleaning up and backfilling stories that are worth salvaging and spiking stories that aren't
YOU ARE:
- Passionate about storytelling and able to develop great story ideas around complex financial topics
- Passionate about empowering readers to take charge of their finances
- Passionate about your work, a self-starter and adaptable
- A ‘Type A’ perfectionist
- Have the ability to understand, introduce, and convey complex financial concepts to readers in an engaging, simple and clear fashion
- Highly attentive to details, without losing the big picture
- Strong in your command of language for writing and editing
- Able to juggle multiple projects at once
- Very knowledgeable of WordPress, basic photo editing and other content production tools.
- Have a basic understanding of SEO, understand search intent and edit articles optimized for the relevant user goal.
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
- At least three years of experience in an editor role at midsize or larger publication
- Personal finance background is a big bonus
