Role Summary:

Chubb’s Payroll team is looking for a Payroll Systems Analyst who will be managing and supporting all Payroll technologies including ADP Global View, Time Off and Time Sheets applications. The successful candidate will be working in close collaboration with the payroll team members on all tasks to ensure that payroll tools and processes are carried out properly.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Supports implementations, upgrades and seek opportunities to initiate improvements for Payroll data work processes, systems, and software
Coordinates the integration of Payroll and HR and enterprise systems and creatively finds solutions to optimize the systems for enhanced performance in support of Payroll services.
Updates payroll data changes in the third party payroll system (currently ADP Globalview, SAP based)
Responsible for verification and smooth flow of HR and Attendance data that is imported from Workday and Time sheet applications on a daily basis
Act as a key technical lead during corporate payroll processes divestiture by bridging communication between vendors, corporate technical and business teams and coordinating User Acceptance Testing processes
Validate data and data reporting to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of the information for a range of ad-hoc requests (non-recurring), to scheduled requests (recurring, local area requirements), to more complex institutional reporting requirements (i.e. year-end, bargaining, month end).
As an initial point of inquiry for payroll systems, anticipate potential problems, field concerns appropriately, and resolve difficult situations with discretion and tact.
Assists payroll team members with payroll-related activities, bi-weekly and month end, such as union due remittances, garnishments, family support, pension plan contributions file transfer, etc.
Processes month-end activities for Chubb in a timely accurate manner for the Payroll Department (including but not limited to production of reports, correspondence with the Payroll team and other teams locally and internationally).
Assists payroll manager with balancing yearend adjustments runs, payroll filings, and year-end reports according to Federal and Provincial legislation and deadlines (i.e. Workers Compensation Board, T4’s, T4A’s, etc.) as well as related audits.
Responds to employee and management inquiries related to payroll/HR data and develops internal process documentation.
Participates in multiple Payroll and Shared Services initiatives as required
Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of related experience in Payroll Administration within a national organization and 3 years related technical or implementation experience in Payroll Systems or enterprise data management experience is required.
College Diploma in a related discipline (Business Administration, Payroll, HR)
Must have knowledge of the Globalview (ADP) SAP based payroll system

Other Requirements

Canadian Payroll Association Certificate would be an asset
Bilingualism would be an asset
Thorough knowledge of Federal & Provincial legislation where applicable.
Must have knowledge of deduction procedures for Workers Compensation, Union Dues, Family Support & Government Taxes
Ability to work in a team environment
Proven critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
Excellent organizational skills, time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Demonstrated experience in payroll supporting projects as a subject matter expert will be valued in this role.
