Senior Engineer, Helicon Chemical Company
The world’s most advanced propellant company is actively seeking a senior engineer with experience in manufacturing scale up. Helicon’s Senior Engineer fosters a company-wide culture of continuous improvement in addition to establishing company SOPs and documentation guidelines. The candidate will be responsible for cost and process optimization, compliance initiatives, quality control, and safety of product manufacturing.

Job Functions:

• Direct the organization in line with the goals and visions set by the CEO
• Lead manufacturing scale up efforts between the Orlando lab and outside contractor(s)
• Set very clear expectations as it relates to SOPs and scale up priorities.
• Lead cost and process optimization, compliance initiatives, quality control, and safety of product manufacturing.
• Advise the executive team on near-term and long-term manufacturing scale up goals, challenges, risks, and opportunities.
• Liaison with offsite manufacturer and senior scientist to ensure manufacturing scale up efforts are successfully carried out in the most time and cost effective manner.
• Support performance review initiatives and coordinate training for department personnel on an as-needed basis.
• Support recruiting and hiring efforts on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Masters degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a related field is required.
• Manufacturing scale up experience required.
• Exclusive U.S. citizenship is required. Education, Experience & Skills:
• Government contracting experience required.
• At least 8 years of finance experience with demonstrated management experience
• Strong financial modeling and leadership skills required
