Engineering Manager

What you'll be doing:

• Track cross-organizational programs / projects and issues to promote good communication between teams
• Develop and execute project plans and run the day-to-day project needs
• Translating business requirements into technical requirements with exhaustive documentation
• Communicate complex decisions, tough trade-offs, and potential solutions effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences
• Partner successfully with customers, stakeholders, product owners and engineering teams
• Document release process and oversee the consistent release of updates into Production
• Intake requests from non-Engineering teams, and determine priority and personnel to work on them
• Influence multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience
• Maximize and ensure the most efficient use of resources and technologies
• Design components for data-driven solutions
• Analyze business requirements and impact on potential technical solutions / design
• Take part in the technology / vendor selection Eg. Open-source Vs Cloud
• Mentor and grow team members - defining career goals
• Support hiring process within Engineering team

What you should bring:

• 3+ years of technical project management, program management, or equivalent expertise
• A track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated experience to self-motivate and successfully follow through on launching projects and programs
• Background in software development and an understanding of DevOps
• Experience managing large cross-functional projects with technical depth
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
• Able to establish processes such as SCRUM to deliver engineering projects; experience in continuous improvement to the development process
• Experience working with multiple project management tools
• Familiarity with frameworks such as Django, Angular
