Research Engineer - RE-2 (MLOps-Data Engineering)

NOTE: We are moving towards a hybrid model of working where we expect every team member to come to RAx research lab (Gandhinagar, Gujarat) 2-3 days a week. So you need to be willing to relocate to Gandhinagar or Ahmedabad.

Role Overview

MLOps-Data Engineer: 3+ years of production-level backend product development experience in Python, Python frameworks, Python servers, AWS, CI/CD, and scalable ML model deployment.

You should have the strong desire to be a part and parcel of the RAx movement (please do research on us for that) for the long-term with ownership.

Responsibilities

You are expected to show excellent performance in the following tasks:

1. Build and maintain high performant NLP-ML REST api servers
   
2. Crawl, extract, clean, index research documents for our search application
3. Optimize and maintain our recommendation systems (Elasticsearch)
4. Optimized algorithm and code design & execution
5. Benchmarking/Comparison of our in-house NLP-ML algorithms/models
6. Develop highly-scalable ML model deployment pipeline
7. High-quality Test-driven-development
   
8. Deadline estimation

Experience

1. Very strong skill in Python, Python framework, and ASGI servers
2. Very strong skill in RDBS and NoSQL databases
3. Very strong in data structures and algorithms
4. Very strong in design patterns and OOP concepts
5. Very strong understanding of RESTful API and micro-server architecture
6. Very strong in text manipulations, regex, text cleaning
7. Very good understanding of continous ML/DL model deployment & MLOps
8. Good understanding of foundational classical NLP, neural NLP, machine learning & deep learning
9. Added advantage: Strong in Cython/C/C++; search engine framework (eg. Elasticsearch);
10. Added advantage: Strong experience in Open Source development
