The Role

JOB DESCRIPTION: The purpose of the position is to install, maintain and support the Circuit Court network; provide direct user support and resolve software, hardware, data and network issues; and perform special project tasks; and prepare purchasing orders for new technology equipment.
• Manages network and monitors network servers.

• Develops computerized methods and solutions to problems for efficient data handling which meet legal requirements.

• Analyzes and researches computer system and technology upgrades.

• Provides end-user support, training, and technical guidance to other court personnel. Troubleshoots and resolves user and computer issues.

• Manages the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, software applications, and peripherals.

• Manages special projects. Estimates project effectiveness and completion time and makes recommendations. Works with outside consultants on RFPs for technological projects and reviews bids as needed.

• Forecasts business requirements and prepares the purchasing budget. Purchases equipment and materials.

• Maintains accurate hardware and software inventory.

• Provides audio and visual support for courtrooms.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education
• Associates degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Certifications
• MCSE required.
• CCNA and PMP preferred.

Job Experience
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Employment is contingent on successfully passing a full criminal background check.
