Still Life is a health and wellness company on a mission to reduce suffering, increase wellbeing, and build towards a life well-lived. Still Life is centered around Stillness – a practice, a daily routine, and a set of meditative exercises to help you tap into your most productive, clear, and creative state of mind. We operate a state-of-the-art facility at 1041 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA. Within 4 months of being live, our app has over 10k downloads and our Instagram has gained over 150k followers.

Our App: Still Life: Meditation & Sleep
The mobile app is the most intuitive health and wellness app on the market guided by our slogan: Just Press Play. The app's newest feature is a curated pathway of meditations through themed planets of the Stillness universe. The user launches into a visual adventure of original Stillness techniques training their mind to be clear, calm, and focused. Further features help users change their states of mind for particular situations: to focus, to sleep, and to calm down quickly.

Your Role: Backend App Engineer
We are looking to hire a team of very talented and motivated software engineers to help shape our mobile application for the future. We’re looking for 2 back-end engineers with experience in Node.js.

The MVP version of our hybrid native app has been built by a local agency and will be handed over to our engineers with some overlap. We’re looking for fast learners with experience building and maintaining hybrid native apps that are secure and can scale. We want someone who understands our company’s principles and is excited about sharing the app with the world.

The agency that has designed and built the app will be available for any questions and to help with onboarding. At that point, we will be looking to our in-house team to assume technical ownership of the app and help maintain and adapt it for the future.

You will help ensure our new features and products keep to our three core values: simplicity, creativity, and clarity. Culture is key to our success.
