Senior Software Engineer

Job Purpose

As a senior software engineer, you will help lead our efforts to build, maintain and redesign scalable software solutions and services offered by ExPrep. You will act as the team lead, working closely with other engineers. The role is multifaceted, requiring experience to design, plan and implement application enhancements involving full stack development.

Responsibilities / Key Duties

• Serve as a team lead while collaborating with members to design and implement application infrastructure following industry best practices

• Ability to work independently in addition to helping mentor other engineers

• Communicate between teams to best inform members of upcoming enhancements and features

• Review and debug other developer’s code

• Display excellent problem-solving, organizational, time management and analytical skills

• Develop and optimize core components of new and existing applications

• Provide application support to ensure high availability of quality applications

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in software development or related field

• Hands-on development experience with Microsoft Azure products, such as App Services, Key Vault, and Storage

• Extensive knowledge of C#, ASP.NET and SQL

• A good understanding of relational database systems, object oriented programming, and software development processes

• Strong knowledge of model view controller and logical layer software design patterns

• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, be open to learning new techniques, and adapt to advancing technologies
