Industrial Design Engineer (senior)

● Define and create new products & user experiences across new categories.
● Play a key role in the formulation of Brand Strategy ensuring design is at the heart and that all design expressions segue with our Brands and their objectives.
● Form real-time agile research, consumer listening and assimilation of trends, translate consumer insights into clear design that drive and shape the product, ecosystem (accessories & peripherals) user interface and user experience from the start of all project streams.
● Provide creative design for all New Categories and brands. Responsible for design authorship, idea generation and solution finding, inspiring both internal stakeholders and external partners including agencies to establish a design-centric mind-set and respect the importance of design to future success.
● Lead and be responsible for end-to-end design outputs on multiple design projects from early concept development to final production and ensure and manage device aesthetics and quality in relationship to R&D and Operations. Develop products that are designed for manufacturing and business effectiveness, for market success
● Develop effective working relationships with Product Management, R&D, Operations, and other stakeholders, to ensure that world class product design that support brand strategies.
● Responsible for bringing world-class product design and experience to in-house teams as well as using external resources to support as needed. Manage output from external agencies to meet highest levels and feasible solutions to bring to market.
● Establish a collaborative partnership approach with stakeholders to flawlessly blend aesthetic and design to meet corporate goals.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

● Reports to the Design Director and works closely with the mechanical engineering team.
● Works closely with adjacent teams responsible for all Categories (Brand, Commercial), Research & Development, Operations as well as Strategy & Foresights.
● The Senior Industrial Designer is a professional with extensive and in-depth experience in industrial design and consumer electronics industry - 5 years or more design experience and design management - Extensive project management skills and experience
● Strong creative leadership skills and proven ability to influence and effectively align with stakeholders globally.
● Significant international experience with the design and development of contemporary digital and electronic products, and fully confident with the technologies and manufacturing processes and support.
● Solid experience in creating and leading a multi-disciplinary design team.
● Preferred experience in Professional audio products & Musical instrument equipment design（Guitar & Electric guitar, Violin, Electric piano, Electronic Drum, Music effects device & Professional audio）
● Experience on all phase of the design process (from concept to manufacture through to launch)
● Knowledge of 2D, 3D Design tools (ex. Adobe, Solidworks, Alias, Rhinos, Keyshots etc.)
● Bachelor/ Master’s Degree in design (focused on industrial design)
● Must have strong project portfolio to demonstrate experience and design skills
● Understanding of technology & manufacturing process is plus
● Design award acknowledgement is plus
