The Role

Our Product Marketing team is growing and we are looking for a Senior Technical Marketing Manager to join us!

In this role, you will be responsible for building and evangelizing the technical product story to our market through messaging, content, and outbound marketing of Replicated products. You'll also play a strong role in helping to establish the technical value prop of these and leverage this to build customer-facing whiteboards, videos, demos, tutorials, reference architecture, and conference presentations. Working with sales engineering teams to understand the project portfolio, and working with sales and marketing to help communicate their value to the market, drive customer understanding and awareness of Replicated’s product and features, you'll be key in helping to ensure their success.

What you'll be doing:

  • Collaborate with product marketing and product management to understand and evangelize messaging, use cases, and new features introduced in the product to create demos
  • Build and maintain demo environments
  • Develop technical content e.g., project datasheets, blogs, videos, and code samples
  • Perform technical competitive analyses through teardowns and win/loss analysis, and enable sales with competitive battlecards
  • Assist revenue teams with responses related to the product e.g. RFIs, RFPs
  • Contribute to building lab and trial experiences for customers
  • Supporting engineering in delivering successful proof-of-value and customer demonstrations with support from the broader team
  • Develop and deliver technical product training to field teams, channel partners, and end customers
  • Build relationships across the business and use SME expertise across teams and organizations
  • Evangelize Replicated and its OSS project portfolio to developer communities

What you bring to the role:

  • 5+ years experience with a role in a relevant field of expertise
  • Prior experience as Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Engineer, or of course, as in a Technical Marketing role
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts into simple ideas for audiences of varying technical backgrounds
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and have an ongoing desire to stay current with the latest technologies
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time (when travel resumes)
  • 2+ Years of experience in OpenSource software, Dev, Ops, DevOps or cloud-native ecosystems
  • Experience with Programming/Scripting languages like Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of popular developer tools like Terraform, GitLab, and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of REST/GraphQL APIs
  • Familiarity with video creation and management tools such as Camtasia
  • Understanding of application architectures in Cloud Native Environments like serverless architecture, micro-services architecture
