Required Experience

Responsibilities:
Pioneer development of user interfaces and interactions for robot tools
Create mockups of UX flows, components, and services
Work with internal and external customers to understand use cases and user needs
Gather and evaluate requirements from different stakeholders (sw team members, operators, and customers) and recommend best solutions
Work with our front end team to improve and implement designs
Participate in standups, testing, and other team activities of a typical agile team

Essential:
Design portfolio
4+ years of professional experience as a designer
Worked on a delivered web application
Experience with design tools such as Framer, Sketch, Figma, or equivalent

Desirable:
Projects involving robotics or other “real world” physical elements
Experience with video game design
Experience with data analytics visualizations
Experience with React
Understanding of complex interactions
Experience with agile development practices

Job Description:

We are seeking a UX/UI designer with a background in and a passion for 3D graphics. You will be instrumental in the development of Smart+, our robot intervention system. You will also pioneer our long-term strategy of assisting robotics companies with open-source modules, developed in conjunction with major ROS partners, for error diagnosis and resolution.
You will be reimagining how human-robot interaction is done, by visualizing the robot's real-world surroundings on a 3D canvas using sensor data. This gives users a high-fidelity understanding of a robot's environment, intention, and control of the system by leveraging Cognicept's state-of-the-art communication framework.
