Dion ZwinkelsThe Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic Instructional Designer to join our growing marketing team and help us fulfill our mission.
As a content creator, you will be required to create interactive and engaging videos to be a part of our new learning center. You will also flex your talents in project management, strategic marketing, graphic design, and data analysis.
Lodgify is a fast-growing startup, focused on building vacation rental software that enables vacation rental owners to independently manage and market their business online. We are an international team of more than 75 people and 25 different nationalities in the heart of Barcelona and we’ve been featured twice in Wired's 100 Hottest European startups list.
What you'll be doing:
- Define instructional goals and build content to accomplish them, from engaging videos to compelling learning activities.
- Work with the subject matter and industry experts to identify our target audience’s training needs.
- Analyze the latest trends in the vacation rental industry to develop stimulating resources.
- Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
- Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course.
- Create a network of industry professionals to promote our content and expand the reach of our resources.
- Collaborate with other writers, graphic designers, and content creators to build new learning resources.
- Help us convert the contents from our new educational resource into other formats, such as blog posts, guides or YouTube videos.
- Create engaging videos to be featured in our new educational resource. You'll be responsible for preparing the script and storyboards, infusing every piece with our company's core personality traits.
We're looking for someone who:
- Loves being on camera. As a content creator, you will be starring Lodgify's videos, and become one of the most popular online faces of our brand.
- Loves content. You love scripting and producing all forms of content: videos, podcasts, blog posts, webinars… you name it!
- Likes to spread knowledge. You may not be a teacher, but teaching has always been one of your strongest skills. You know how to explain concepts, so everybody can understand them, and enjoy seeing how people improve their knowledge thanks to you.
- Plays well with others. You love working in a team! Yes, you are responsible for your own projects, but you also listen to your teams' ideas, filter their notes, and make them feel heard.
- Gets stuff done. There are no time clocks or ankle chains keeping you at your desk. You have work to do, deadlines to hit and projects to complete. That means you will use your problem-solving and organizational skills almost as much as your content creation chops.
- Has a data-driven mindset. Work doesn’t end once you hit “publish”. You will be constantly measuring the traffic, conversions and overall performance of your content projects to make sure they are delivering results.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in instructional design and content creation, preferably in video/multimedia formats.
- Native in English and ability to speak and write in any other European language fluently and idiomatically.
- Experience with LMS platforms (Thinkific or LearnWorlds) and any video editing tool (such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Previous experience in the vacation rental or hotel management industry is preferable.
- Up to date with creative trends, popular culture, and new marketing techniques & platforms.
Benefits
- Permanent contract
- Meal vouchers
- Private Health Insurance
- 25 days of vacations
- Free Spanish classes
- Be part of an international team of over 26 different nationalities
- Opportunities to learn & grow
- Nice office space in a central location
- Fresh fruits, coffee and beverages and other breakfast food
We are proud to have an international team that acknowledges a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and skills. At Lodgify, we celebrate diversity and difference, and we are strongly committed to building an inclusive environment for all our employees.
All applications, including CV & cover letter, must be submitted in English. Applications in any other language will not be considered.
