ABOUT WORKSHOP

Formed 5 years ago, Workshop has set a new standard of digital learning and works with some of the most respected experts in cooking, fine art, beauty, and other educational sectors, with unlimited potential to expand across the entire spectrum of skills-based activities across many sectors, including healthcare, construction, health and fitness, horticulture.

Based in Central London near Aldgate East, Workshop is growing at pace and we need to expand the team. We are looking for a Mobile Content Account Executive to find businesses and teachers who want to make courses using Workshop’s innovative app-based technology and work with them to create amazing courses to sell to their customers, or for internal training. In this role, you will manage the sourcing, structure and production of teaching content for mass generation of our quality courses.

We want a self-starter who is super-efficient, not afraid of organising people, and who loves learning as much as we do. Previous experience in agency account management, business lead generation, content production, blogging/vlogging, and copy/production editing, will be really useful.

ROLE PURPOSE

The primary purpose of the role is to source appropriate teaching partners and, alongside these partners and their Subject Matter Expert, plan, execute, produce and deliver online courses using the Workshop mobile platform. (Full training will be provided).

This role works closely with the Co-Founder and the Programme Lead for Course Making. You will be overall aiming to increase the volume and scale of courses produced using Workshop.

You’re likely to be prolific in creating addictive social media video content on your mobile and thrive on lead generation and relationship building.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Content/Subject Matter Expert Sourcing

  • Research and contact potential Subject Matter Experts equipped to deliver course-ready content in the range of sectors identified as appropriate for the Workshop format. (Our initial targets are in the Healthcare and Higher Education sectors.)
  • Bring new Subject Matter Experts/Teachers on board to produce courses.

Course Planning

  • Help set standards for course content and quality through all planning and implementation stages of the course lifecycle.
  • Work with the Subject Matter Experts to identify the course purpose, create a composition and produce the course in sequences that hold a viewer's attention.
  • Guide the Subject Matter Experts to deliver their courses in the ‘Workshop way’ ensuring they are action-led and stay true to ‘learning by doing'.

Production Co-ordination:

  • Project manage all aspects of course production requirements to agreed timelines with your Workshop team and the Subject Matter Experts.
  • Own production planning for new courses and projects. Liaise with the Subject Matter Expert/Teacher to create detailed schedules, content plans, scripts, video and photography requirements.
  • Coordinate and undertake production, filming, editing & copywriting using Workshop’s app-based mobile technology.
  • Become an expert with Workshop’s app-based mobile technology to shoot and edit courses in collaboration with the subject matter expert. Work with the CPO to layer improvements and enhancements into the technology.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS NEEDED

  • A business-related degree and/or relevant professional qualifications.
  • Production-related experience within an experiential, video content-based environment, e.g. within a communications or digital agency.
  • Understanding of editing suites, video tools, design packages.
  • Project management training and/or experience.
  • Copywriting skills. Excellent with words – grammar, spelling, language. Ability to write within a brand tone of voice and guidelines and produce written content.
  • The ability to set deadlines and achieve them whilst communicating progress effectively with partners and other members of the Workshop team.
