The Role
We're looking for a backend or full-stack developer, who's excited about all kinds of data-related projects! You have a couple of years of experience working with Python, demonstrate an interest in data engineering, and you are ready to explore the data universe.
You will be a part of the Tech team which includes web developers (taking care of our customer faced web applications), a UI/UX designer, the head of the team, and the lead backend developer (with which you will work closely) - 6 people in total. You will also work closely with our four data specialists in the Insights team.
Our tech stack includes, but is not limited to: Google Cloud products(mainly BigQuery and Storage), Airflow, Docker, PostgreSQL, Python 3.
Your daily tasks at Organic Basics
- Be part of designing and building our tech stack in collaboration with the lead backend developer.
- Build and maintain solutions, integrations, and automation from webhooks over APIs up to serving the models of our Insights team - everything to enable our different teams to perform their job effectively and without friction.
- Build, scale, and maintain our data warehouse in close collaboration with our Insights team, thereby building the base to make our data accessible for the rest of the company.
- Monitor and maintain our diverse data pipelines.
- Validate and guarantee the data quality & integrity.
- Support the needed technical documentation.
Your strengths
- Open minded, problem solver with good communication & collaboration skills.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science.
- 3+ years of software-engineering experience using Python.
- Solid programming foundations, including but not limited to OOP.
- An advanced understanding of SQL.
