Bleach is the home of experimental hair. From our three London-based salons overseen by our Creative Director and celebrity stylist Alex Brownsell to our eco-friendly, vegan and cruelty-free products, if you’re looking for advice, an appointment, or products relating to experimental colour or care, we’ve got you covered.

Founded in 2010, we’ve built an engaged community (345K Instagram followers and 80 million TikTok views), gained recognition from the industry (Vogue, ID, Dazed), and have signed wholesale deals with a range of partners, including Selfridges, Boots and Sephora.

We've recently raised a Series A from top-tier consumer investors and high-profile individuals (including Georgia May Jagger) to build an omnichannel platform for experimental hair consultations, and expand to the US with the launch of an LA salon.

We’re a diverse and credible team set to build a business of significant value in the $70B haircare industry, and the Bleach London Brixton Stylist is central to delivering on our vision.

A bit about the role

If meticulous bleaching, an obsession with toner mixes and providing the ultimate care for coloured hair sounds like part of your normal day then this could be the role for you! As a Bleach London Stylist in our Brixton salon, you will be an integral part of a team full of experts who love what they do. Reporting to the Salon Team Leader, you will be performing high quality colour, cutting and styling services for clients and VIPs, retailing the Bleach London product line, producing content for online social media activity and participating in various brand events.

Some of the things you’ll be doing:

• Providing high quality hairdressing services for clients and VIPs including (but not limited to) bleaching, colour corrections, creative colouring, balayage, highlights, tinting, cutting and styling.
• Using the Bleach London range alongside other professional colour ranges.
• Establishing and retaining a loyal clientele by creating a bespoke journey for their hair goals through excellent consultation skills along with aftercare advice and rebookings.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace environment, adhering to COVID-19 regulations.
• Producing consistent and quality content for our social media platforms.
• Joining our expert team of stylists on the online Digital Salon.
• Participating in occasional brand events and travel for work or training.
• Keeping a finger on the pulse for exciting new trends and products.

Must haves:

• Minimum 3 years experience working as a qualified stylist in a high quality salon with a focus on colouring.
• Exceptional hair colouring, cutting and styling skills with bleaching, colour correction and creative work at the top of your skillset.
• Friendly and approachable with high customer service standards and great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic about using online and offline tools for communication and keeping organised.
• A passion for the hair industry with a sustainable approach towards stock use, recycling, limiting waste and caring for equipment.
• Hairdressing NVQ2/Level 2 diploma or equivalent as a minimum.
• Full and valid right to work in the UK.

- Experience using Wella colour is desirable but not essential.
