SMSGlobal is a premium SaaS platform providing enterprise messaging services via robust integrations and our user-friendly MXT gateway.

We are a Melbourne-based company, with offices in the USA and UAE & are an industry-leader consistently adding to their library of APIs and plugins.

We service a wide range of clients in finance, tech, retail and eCommerce, SMSGlobal provides multiple platform integrations for a seamless and easy-to-use solution, including Salesforce, Zapier, HubSpot, WordPress, BigCommerce, Simon and Magento.

About the role

The primary responsibility this role owns, is translating technically accurate documentation, into easily read & understood content to our target technical + non-technical audience.

You will work with closely within the Digital Marketing team & liaise with other departments such as Sales and Support. Good relationship skills are a must!

You will need to create your own content briefs, as well as work from content briefs. Once created, you will need to ensure that it is published either on our website (using Craft CMS), in our EDM's or automation workflows (within HubSpot), our landing pages (in Instapage) or on Social Media.

Joining the SMSGlobal Digital Marketing team in a full-time role, our office is based at HQ in South Melbourne with the opportunity for flexibility. (And yes, the office is a 5-minute walk from the market!). We will allow for remote working opportunities for the right, star candidate.

Skills and experience

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Content Lead to produce content for a range of mediums and platforms with a focus on lead nurture.

• Assist with developing and executing digital marketing campaigns focused at reputation management, lead nurture, customer engagement, surveys and feedback.

• Research industry-related topics and brainstorm new ideas and strategies with the broader marketing team for effective content.

• Write clear marketing copy to promote SMSGlobal's products/services, including EDM's, Automation, Downloadables & other sales collateral.

• Prepare well-structured drafts using the Content Management System.

• Align content production with marketing seasonal calendar and content strategy.

• Work closely with the SEO lead in order to optimize content production and SEO techniques accordingly.

• Coordinate with marketing and design staff to illustrate articles, ensuring imagery aligns with design brief and brand guidelines.

• Foster communications between Marketing, Sales, Finance, Tech departments with regards to content.

Key skills:

• A strong grasp & fluency of Technical Code & API's

• Ability to translate technical documentation into compelling how to guides & landing pages to a non-technical and technical audience.

• Prior experience in marketing SaaS Products

• High attention to detail in writing, proofreading, and copyediting, especially in regard to all-around consistency of style, font, imagery and tone.

• The ability to work in a team and independently

• An adaptable writing style and tone, with experience writing in both English-AU and English-USA

• Incorporate Best Practice SEO methods while maintaining high-quality, relatable and unique content.

• The ability to write blog content, landing pages, short-form and long-form

• The ability to develop EDM campaigns and automation workflows for segmented contacts within HubSpot

• Design experience with Adobe Suite for editing image templates (ideal but not necessary)

To be successful, you must have:

• A minimum of 5 years experience as a content writer with English-AU and English-USA writing proficiency

• A portfolio of past work with a minimum of 3 pieces of writing

• Australian citizenship, Permanent Residency, or existing Working VISA (if working in-house)
