Primary Purpose:
The Systems Analyst leads projects and performs analysis in order to maximize operational efficiencies,
designing new systems and enhancing existing ones in order to optimize digital solutions across the
organization.
** Education/Certification:**
*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience ITIL certification is a plus

Experience:
At least 3 years of Systems experience in a large network environment over 5,000 endpoints K-12 school experience preferred, but not necessary
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in the planning, design, and development of new applications and enhancements to existing core services and applications. SISD has cloud-hosted Office 365 email and Frontline student and business information systems.
- Meet with decision-makers, systems owners, and end-users to define business requirements,systems goals, and timelines.
- Identify and resolve student and business systems issues.
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Assist the deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
- Conduct research on hardware and software products to justify recommendations and support purchasing efforts.
- Create system design proposals.
- Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
- Create systems models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to system developers.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
- Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems
- Generate Backup Policies and Disaster Recovery procedures
- Facilitate and perform all Mission-critical firmware and software upgrades
- Monitor and audit all permission changes and all actions of elevation within our environment
- Maintain backups and high availability strategies
- Create and enforce change management process for performing actions that end-users would either potentially or certainly be affected
- Serve as liaison appointed by Technology Coordinator to software and hardware vendors to maintain appropriate products support.
- Manage licensing for all systems and software.
- Maintain and build out any cloud systems necessary for district function
- Identify and recommend solutions for automation and different needs of the district.
