The Role

Primary Purpose:
The Systems Analyst leads projects and performs analysis in order to maximize operational efficiencies,
designing new systems and enhancing existing ones in order to optimize digital solutions across the
organization.

** Education/Certification:**
*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience ITIL certification is a plus

End point management
Mobile Device Management

Experience:
At least 3 years of Systems experience in a large network environment over 5,000 endpoints K-12 school experience preferred, but not necessary

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Assist in the planning, design, and development of new applications and enhancements to existing core services and applications. SISD has cloud-hosted Office 365 email and Frontline student and business information systems.
  2. Meet with decision-makers, systems owners, and end-users to define business requirements,systems goals, and timelines.
  3. Identify and resolve student and business systems issues.
  4. Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
  5. Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  6. Assist the deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
  7. Conduct research on hardware and software products to justify recommendations and support purchasing efforts.
  8. Create system design proposals.
  9. Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
  10. Create systems models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to system developers.
  11. Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
  12. Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems
  13. Generate Backup Policies and Disaster Recovery procedures
  14. Facilitate and perform all Mission-critical firmware and software upgrades
  15. Monitor and audit all permission changes and all actions of elevation within our environment
  16. Maintain backups and high availability strategies
  17. Create and enforce change management process for performing actions that end-users would either potentially or certainly be affected
  18. Serve as liaison appointed by Technology Coordinator to software and hardware vendors to maintain appropriate products support.
  19. Manage licensing for all systems and software.
  20. Maintain and build out any cloud systems necessary for district function
  21. Identify and recommend solutions for automation and different needs of the district.
  22. Other duties as assigned

Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
