Job Description
ORA/O2Brands is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Technician to assemble and run semi-automated equipment used for use in automated PPE manufacturing.
We're looking for those trained in, or have experience with, electronic/electrical machines or mechanism servicing, maintenance and assembly.
Senior Mechanical Technicians will have the chance to work in a fast-paced environment on industry leading equipment and work on custom technology and mechanical innovation.
Other Senior Mechanical Technicians Technician responsibilities include:
• Must be able to show ability to operate and maintain simple to sophisticated automated machinery
• Ability to operate and maintain a wide variety of hand and power tools, and lab equipment.
• Work in a production environment assembling mechanical laboratory devices
• Assemble and operate equipment according to blueprint and schematics correctly
• Requires excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, high efficiency, and ability to follow process instructions
• High voltage/power experience preferred.
• Low voltage and control system experience preferred.
• Strong experience with reading, interpreting, and drawing electrical schematics and circuits. Strong experience with wiring diagrams and harness drawings.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs and HV power supplies.
• Experience in the use of a broad variety of test, control and data acquisition equipment.
• Software experience preferred (LabVIEW, Python, Golang).
• High voltage/power experience preferred.
• Low voltage and control system experience preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Qualifications
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment to meet quality and quantity quotas
• Experience using diagrams or blueprints, and follow other written or verbal instructions
• Mechanically inclined with good dexterity - able to use both hand and power tools
• Able to quality check finished product and send unsatisfactory items to rework • Proven experience with safe production standards
• Stable work history
• Math may be required for computing quantities and simple addition and subtraction for counting parts
• Requires excellent manual dexterity, ability to work with small components and hand tools, and a keen eye for detail and quality
• Must be able to read and follow detailed manufacturing instructions Education and Experience • High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 10-15 years’ experience in assembly and machine operation and assemblies
• Technical Certificate and/or LEAP or CTE Program Completion Preferred Company
• Ability to work in a regulated environment in compliance to ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 • Familiarity with manual machine tools (mill and lathe) a plus. • Instron experience a plus. • CAD experience a plus.
