Web Application Development Manager

Job Summary

This role will be responsible for managing the delivery app and website’s end-to-end lifecycle development and technology infrastructure in collaboration with our outside development team. Your Responsibilities
Manage application and website development (50%)
Manage all aspects of the technology development from requirements definition to post-implementation support
Complete user acceptance testing of upgrades
Lead all roll out efforts including implementation, training, and user adherence
Serve as main point of contact for ongoing/retainer application maintenance and support clients
Assist in preparation of technical information in response to proposals
Active management of project scope and budget
Design the UX/UI for the application and website (25%)
Generate and update website content (products, content, promotions)
Design the website, dashboards, and customer applications
Compare the company's products to competitor's products to assess competition in the market
Manage the company’s SEO presence
Ensure the platform is built for scale (15%)
Analyze current platform to ensure the platform can scale as the business grows including code reviews
Provide technical architecture leadership in relation to new project discovery, design, development, and deployment.
Build a team and present to leadership (10%)
Review contracts and statements of work with third party development partners to manage work product and development outcomes
Monitor and report status and progress of projects to management
Assist in the development of a technology plan including hiring and strategy requirements
Explain complex technology matters to semi-technical and non-technical audiences

Desired Experience
Knowledge of MongoDB, AWS, and node.js
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to work with clients and in-house designers and developers
Organized and able to work under tight deadlines; time management skills are essential
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Solid technical understanding of application development and web technologies
Understanding of data structure methodologies, technologies, and standards
Knowledge of User Experience and User Interaction theory
Logical and analytical approach to critical thinking and problem solving
Collaborative team player and positive team player
Confidence to tackle issues swiftly, professionally, and autonomously. Must work well under pressure
Familiarity with project management software and code management software, GitLab
