Pand.ai Pte. Ltd. is a premier AI chatbot developer for financial institutions in Southeast Asia. It currently serves a number of Fortune 500 companies such as UBS, Schroders, Allianz and Tokio Marine across Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
Pand.ai was started in July 2016 by a MIT-trained Digital Head from Standard Chartered and an award-winning adjunct lecturer in Machine Learning from NUS (National University of Singapore), Pand.ai is probably the only one-stop shop that help you create award-winning AI chatbots for financial services – from conceptualizing, designing, data cleaning, developing, testing and even running the live bot post-production.
We're looking for a talented Frontend Engineer to join our team of disparate experts, graduated from MIT, Cambridge, Wharton, NUS and NTU. Your skills contribute to the success of our product and enable us to create the perfect AI Chatbot. This job will be based in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Take ownership of high impact projects.
● Build scalable and live products that will grow to millions of users.
● Work closely with Product Manager and Data Scientist.
● Iterate quickly based on feedback.
● Obsess about the user experience and deliver robust, well-built, user-friendly product solutions.
● Refactor and improve existing codebase.
● Help shape our culture and workflow as we're a small team that’s open to innovative ways of working.

REQUIREMENTS

● Experience with a JavaScript framework like EmberJS, AngularJS or React/Redux stack.
● Experience working with RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
● Experience with Redux and React Hooks.
● Experience with CSS frameworks such as Material-UI.
● Experience working with micro-services and/or cloud functions.
● Write clean, testable code with unit tests.
● Experience in dealing with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
● Understanding on how to structure maintainable large-scale frontend and backend applications; e.g. how to separate concerns (business logic vs UI vs state).
