The Role
What we do
At the beginning of the year, we set ourselves a mission: to enable financial teams and company managers to work as a team so that they can design different strategies, study their impact and anticipate potential threats before they become a problem.
Cofi is a collaborative data analysis, forecasting and financial planning tool that aspires to be fast, flexible and integrate with the tools that are currently used in the different departments of a company.
After months of interviewing professionals in the sector to understand the problem and how we could generate the greatest impact, it is time to form the team that makes this a reality at a key moment for this type of solution.
Your functions
As a Software Engineer (Full stack) and one of the first members of the team, you will be responsible, together with the CTO, for designing and building our platform. Among your functions will be:
- Work hand in hand with product specialists and other team members to help define new functionality or enhancements to the platform.
- Model and implement the solution and the different integrations: frontend, backend and infrastructure.
- Ensure the quality of the contributions of the rest of the engineers through code reviews and pair-programming sessions.
Our stack
The current stack consists of a Python 3 application that communicates with the different clients through a REST API using FastAPI. For the web platform we use TypeScript with Vue 3 (we opted for Composition API) + Tailwind CSS.
For the data layer that we currently use PostgreSQL, although given the nature of our platform there are many interesting challenges in this area and solutions to be defined.
What we expect from you
- Experience in production and command of at least one programming language.
- Autonomy and efficiency. Manage your time well and always find the fine balance between speed and quality in execution.
- Have a product vision and the ability to understand and maximize the impact of your work on clients and colleagues.
- Communication skills. Being able to give feedback, ask for help and collect necessary information from colleagues in other departments when the situation requires it.
What we offer
- A full-time position with a flexible vacation policy and schedule.
- A competitive salary as well as equity options.
- A budget dedicated to each engineer for their own professional development and the help they need to achieve their goals.
- Offices with natural light in the center of Barcelona.
- A pleasant working environment with young and enthusiastic people.
- The opportunity to be one of the first members of an experienced team and have a great impact on a project that has raised a lot of interest from the beginning.
