FABRICATION MANAGER – Interior Logic Group

Opportunity Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Fabrication Manager is to oversee general fabrication shop operation and maintenance; maintain schedule adherence and accuracy, ensure all equipment is maintained and serviced according to established protocols.

Responsibilities Overview:
• Ensure all ILG safety requirements and guidelines are strictly followed and enforced.
• Develop employee schedules to utilize time wisely and ensure orders are completed timely.
• Follow and enforce all Company Handbook policies and procedures, including but not limited to recognizing the need for employee coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Track and maintain inventory and submit required monthly inventory reports.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels ensuring materials and equipment are accounted for to avoid loss, theft, waste or damage.
• Partner with Facility Coordinator to ensure all equipment is maintained and serviced according to established protocols and machine manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Responsible for the preparation, organization and maintenance of job files, records, OSHA records.
• Ensure jobs stay within projected bids to avoid overages in cost to the company.
• Coordinate production schedule with receiving manager and quality control manager to ensure scheduler is provided with appropriate information to schedule installations daily.
• Ensure all materials are off loaded properly according to company safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure subordinates perform on going quality control inspections to detect fabrication errors/problems throughout the fabrication process.
• Knowledgeable of all hazards associated with a fabrication facility and correct them in a timely fashion.
• Ability to train all employees in health and safety training courses supplied by the corporate safety dept in the languages of all employees you are directly supervising.

Qualifications
• Knowledge of fabrication techniques, internet, inventory, project management, spread sheet and word process software.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Technical Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CAD/CAM experience
• Strong communication skills with conflict resolution and judgment abilities
• Bilingual experience preferred, but not required (English/Spanish)
• Must have a thorough knowledge of all products used by the company as it relates to product installation
• Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional working relationships with builders, vendors, subordinates and co-workers
• Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a professional manner.Proactively identify, analyze, address, and resolve problem areas, conflicts, and issues
• Displays willingness to make decisions.
• Exhibits sound and accurate judgment, supports and explains reasoning for decisions, includes appropriate people in decision-making process, and makes timely decisions.
• Strong organizational skills to ensure adequate tracking systems are utilized to maintain and track all required information associated with the ordering and production process.
• Working knowledge of internet, inventory, project management, spreadsheet and word process software and order processing systems.
