Senior Tech Lead

What we are seeking:

We are looking for a Tech Head, you would be responsible to architect and oversee the building of the entire technology platform for all aspects i.e application, webapp, mobile app, designing an architecture of scalable systems, high-performance data pipelines, streaming analytics, data integration, automated decisioning, data-driven learning algorithms etc and other tech functions as the need arises..
Strategy & Planning :
• In partnership with the company's founders, identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company's services as a web-based as well as mobile based business, including identification of competitive services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to the business success.
• Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms (including web application/mobile application frameworks and the deployment stack) for delivering the company's services.
• Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all web and app based services.
• Participate as a member of the senior management team in establishing governance processes of direction and control to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately and the organization's resources are used responsibly, particularly in the areas of software development, office networks and computers, and telecommunications.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Understand the company needs to define system specifications
• Plan and design the structure of a technology solution
• Communicate system requirements to software development teams
• Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods
• Assist with solving technical problems when they arise
• Ensure the implementation of agreed architecture and infrastructure
• Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices by attending relevant conferences and reading widely (including reading your peers- blogs!).
• Ensure that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization.
• Share knowledge, mentor, and educate the organization's investors, management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders with regard to the company's technological vision, opportunities, and challenges.
• Experienced, entrepreneurial and hands on technology leader who has built teams from scratch. Recruiting and building a team will be a high priority in the initial stages
• Experience in building intuitive, consumer-oriented experiences and interfaces for Enterprise software will be required.
• Knowledge of mobile app development both android and iOS is a must.
• In-depth knowledge of web systems architecture, design and development
• Hands on experience with complex project management
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Has Experience with Product Development and building the architecture of the product.

Technical Skills:

• Strong hands-on design and development experience with Java, J2EE, React and Node
• Expertise in designing and developing MicroServices on java-based or Node.js platforms
• Experience in Spring frameworks (Spring MVC, spring boot, spring core)
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures, Docker, Kubernetes or Marathon
• Experience with chat plugins
• Experience in designing high-performance data pipelines, streaming analytics, data integration
• Experience with Amazon Web Services and related services and features like EC2, S3, autoscaling, load balancing, route53, S3, IAM, Lambda, Athena, etc
• Experience in working with ECS, Fargate & Kubernetes on AWS
• Configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
• Web servers (Apache, Nginx, etc.)
• Experience with source code management tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or equivalent
• Exposure to DevSecOps and Application Security beneficial
• DBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL), including NoSQL (MongoDB)
• Experience in Web Security
• Hands-on JW+, SAML
