Backend Engineer (Full-Time)

About Us
We are a well-funded startup looking to build a unique first-to-market decentralized e-commerce platform. Located in Miami, FL.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years experience in building and working with REST API's with server-side technologies such as Node.js or Django
• Familiarity with microservices and relevant design patterns
• Knowledge of both RDBMS and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and MongoDB

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience building microservices and REST API’s
• Experience developing and deploying machine learning models is a huge plus
• Experience with Elastic Path is a huge plus
• Familiarity with EDI Networks and EDI standards
• Experience in owning software development lifecycles and driving technical projects
• Experience in continuous improvement of code, systems, and processes over time (i.e. Agile / Scrum Methodologies)
• Experience leading and/or mentoring a team of at least two people with a strategic direction on systems and apps

Compensation

• Competitive Salary ($80,000 ~ $120,000) + Equity (TBD) * Based on both expertise and experience
