Senior Embedded System Engineer

Role and Responsibilities:
– Embedded Software Development in bare metal C and OS (Linux) based Environment interfacing to an FPGA-based board and a PC
– Develop test environments and perform testing
– Support for firmware integration and testing

Required Qualifications:
– BS, MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
– 3-5 years experience in the industry as embedded system engineer
– Proficiency in C or C++ coding for application and driver development
– Experienced in using Linux for software development
– Experienced in using MIPS/ARM microcontrollers
– Experienced in using board kits, such as Beagle-Bone Black, Raspberry PI or Arduino for project development
– Having basic knowledge of microcontroller architectures and FPGAs

Desired Qualifications:
– Experienced in using peripherals such as embedded Ethernet interfaces/USB interfaces
– Experienced in device tree and kernel module development for Linux
– Experienced in hardware/software co-design and proper partitioning of an application over software and hardware
– Experienced in designing with Zynq SoC or understanding similar architectures, including the PS-PL interfacing, either on bare-C or OS based designs
– Experienced in using real-time OS
– Experience in Communication Systems, Detection Theory, and Channel Coding is a plus.
