Compliance / AML Manager - Australia

PrimeXBT is seeking an intelligent, dynamic, innovative and motivated AML/ Compliance Manager responsible for oversight of our compliance with the rules against money laundering and to function as our Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

This position is critical to support the growth of PrimeXBT’s business in the region and will be the focal point for all activity within PrimeXBT relating to anti-money laundering. This role will require, the development and maintenance of PrimeXBT’s compliance strategies and relevant policies, and ensure their rigorous implementation across all functions within the business, while guaranteeing sustained regulatory compliance.

We are searching for someone with extensive experience in the financial industry and proven experience in a compliance function that is excited to design, lead and shape the future of oversight and compliance.

Responsibilities:
Working closely with Legal team to develop procedures, processes and controls.
Day-to-day management of the customer due dilligence operations and customer screening function, including managing daily volumes of client onboarding, ensuring CDD processes meet policy standards
Ensuring processes to review new and existing account documentation for completeness and validity, identify any deficiencies against the internal procedures.
Monitoring regulatory framework and informing management about necessary improvements/changes required in internal AML policies
Ensure ongoing processes and controls complete and accurate record keeping of all documentation and relevant communications with internal stakeholders and clients.
Advise on, and escalate, higher risk relationships and reputation risks arising from customer screening to management
Report to senior management/executives on a periodic basis.

For this role you will need:

• 5 years + of operational experience in AML/CDD and/or client onboarding, from crypto/ banking and/or financial services sector with an understanding of different client types.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements relating to CDD/AML.
• Proactive and solutions driven.
• High level of integrity and professionalism, with high attention to detail.
