The design engineer has the following duties:

1. Must be proficeint in CAD deisgn tool with complex parts.
2. New product Development Cycle, ideastion, designing the mechanisms things from scratch and taking them to manufacturing stage.
3. Must be open to work in stratup culture, wear multiple hats.
4. Understanding of human centered mechanical designs i.e, ergonomics and biomechanics
5. Understanding of CAD, CAM and CAE tools and techniques.
6. Rapid Prototyping and setting up of production unit for different products.
7. Understanding of different manufacturing processes Molding, Casting, TIG welding, Machining, etc
8. Good understanding of Manufacturing Process Management i.e, BOM, material costing, inventory management etc
9. Selection of proper materials for different parts and applications according to the requirements
10. Vendor Sourcing & Management; relationship management with different vendors and suppliers.
11. Project Management understanding and learning, applying operations research techniques for maximizing the production.
