We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist who is passionate about working with cutting-edge technology and a world-class team to tackle some of today's most pressing biological questions.

About you

You are a seasoned data scientist with proven success working in research and/or clinical environments. You work cross-functionally with laboratory and engineering teams to design and develop methods and workflows that deliver high-quality data and results to customers. You are skilled at image and/or single-cell analysis, knowledgeable about software best practices, and equipped to collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You have a track record of developing successful bioinformatics tools and are excited to join a fast-growing startup.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop statistical and machine learning methods on tissue imaging and single-cell data.
• Closely collaborate with laboratory and engineering teams on design, troubleshooting, and execution.
• Present analyses and visualizations to scientists and physicians as part of research services partnerships.
• Scale IONpath's imaging and informatics platform to meet growing demands from pharma and academia.
• Participate in code reviews, issue tracking, unit testing and documentation.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the MIBIscope platform.

Qualifications and Background

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience working in a bioinformatics or biomedical imaging industry role.
• Advanced degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated success delivering timely results to scientific and/or medical industry customers that exceed expectations.
• Strong working knowledge of statistics including machine learning.
• Proficiency with scientific computing in Python; familiarity with relational databases, C/C++, and/or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Previous experience with digital pathology, immuno-oncology, and/or neuroscience is preferred.
