About the Role:
The BIM Specialist’s role is to provide ongoing maintenance of existing BIM tools (models, families, etc.), develop and implement technology processes for internal teams, and develop tools to improve team efficiency. The primary responsibility is to manage and coordinate BIM standards development and implementation on all related BIM projects, files, and models.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain existing BIM prototype models and families through the ongoing evolution of the design prototype
* Develop new prototype models and families to support emerging product types
* Create company-wide BIM standards
* Develop tools to support material take-offs and clash detection (supporting estimating and construction administration phases of projects)
* Oversee BIM software installations and maintenance company-wide
* Provide end-user training and support
Requirements:
* 5+ years’ experience in design production plus BIM management in an A/E/C firm
* Superior in-depth working knowledge of Revit, good knowledge of AutoCAD, and a skilled user of digital technology tools
* Deep understanding of the practice of architecture, project delivery, and construction methods
* Must be a self-starter and possess the drive to pursue continued education on BIM and related technologies
* Passion for design technologies and skilled in the development of technologies and practices to increase user effectiveness
* Extremely service oriented and highly approachable with commitment to helping others
* Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance
* Strong written and verbal communications skills
