The Role
Basic Requirements:
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 2+ Years of Data Warehouse Experience with Oracle, Redshift, PostgreSQL etc.
• Excellent SQL Coding skills + Coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Ruby, Java, etc.)
• Hands on with ETL Tools like IBM Datastage, Microsoft SSIS, Informatica etc..
• Working knowledge on Data migration tools between sandboxes
Preferred Qualifications:
• 4+ Years of experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets
• Industry experience as a Data Engineer or related specialty (e.g., Software Engineer, Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Scientist) with a track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets.
• Worked on any of the Big Data platforms like Teradata, Hadoop, Hive etc.
• Experience building data products iteratively and integrate / manage datasets from multiple sources (tabular & unstructured data)
• Experience with large-scale data warehousing projects, using AWS technologies – Redshift, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Lambda, S3, EC2, etc.
• Knows/ Practised security standards like symmetric and asymmetric encryption, IP whitelisting, LDAP authentication etc.
